Hoisin Sauce
I created this delicious little sauce specifically for Brussels Sprouts but then decided to use it in a Chicken sheet pan meal also, after a delicious meal at a local restaurant inspired me to create an at home version.
This sauce would actually be delicious on any meat or veggie you want to put it on. I think it would be delicious on simple grilled chicken or a pan seared white fish as well.
Hoisin Sauce
INGREDIENTS
1/4 cup coconut aminos
1/4 cup sunbutter
2 tablespoons honey
2 teaspoons rice vinegar
1/2 teaspoon chinese 5-spice
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
DIRECTIONS
combine all ingredients in a small saucepan over low heat.
whisk continuously to combine, about 2 minutes. turn off heat & allow to cool to room temperature.
use as desired. store in the refrigerator, in a glass jar, for up to one week.
